百步之鄉
神聖陽光
從金黃色山峰
撒鋪在清早道路上
我從金崙走往賓茂村
家家有百步蛇圖騰守護
有些翠綠山岡做後門屏風
百步之內處處有小米、洛神花
紅藜、咖啡、釋迦不是用來看
我遍嘗平生難得香純品種
沿金崙溪半乾涸半暢流
鄉民已紛紛迎著陽光
忙著農業生產工作
遊覽車還不動
等人泡湯
Hometown of the Hundred-Pacer
Holy sunshine
spread from the golden peak
over the road in the early morning.
I walk from Kanadun toward Geomoru Village.
Every house is engraved with hundred pacer totems.
Some verdant hills are served as back door screens.
Within hundred paces there are everywhere millet, Roselle,
red quinoa, coffee, custard apple, not just for good looking,
I taste here all those sweet varieties never before.
Along the half-dried streaming Kanadun Creek
the villagers have bathed under the sunshine
in busy agricultural production works.
The tour buses are idle for waiting
those bathed in hot springs.

從金峰往達仁鄉路上
太陽之子
銅色皮膚的老司機
對我說：
「我們台東的火車
不燒媒不吃電
是喝小米酒的！」
難怪勇猛向前
腳輪子有點不穩
搖搖顛顛
排灣族老司機
臉上皺紋花東縱谷
北大武山嶽峰連綿
有五位兒女七位孫子
太陽永遠不會休息
外來此地
意外被海浪沖到沙灘上
無人撿拾的貝殼
獨自聽潮音

Son of The Sun
On the road from Kinzang toward Tadren Township
the old driver, Son of the Sun,
with copper skin
said to me:
"The train in our Taitung is driven
by nether burning coals nor eating electricity
but drinking millet wine! "
No wonder it ran forward bravely
and found the wheels sway a little bit
unstably.
The old driver of Paiwan tribe
with wrinkles on the face like East Rift Valley
and Meli-miligang Mountain extensively
continuous five children and seven grandchildren
because The Sun never rests.
As an outcomer
a shell accidentally washed up by the waves
and left on the beach
listening to the tide alone.
